The area of Prague Historical Districts displayed inside its fortification system (the blue lines on the map) as it was still standing at around 1845. Large segments of its bastions, walls, and gates are still well preserved to our time. Vltava formed a natural boundary and did not require to build massive structures to protect its banks.
