Ladislav Klusáček is one of the most interesting contemporary Czech painters. He continues to develop a distinct body of work in which he draws inspiration from the eternal tensions between woman and man. He is very confident in producing monumental works, but also enjoys venturing into smaller-scale compositions.
His works have been exhibited in Poland, Slovakia, Switzerland, France, U.S.A., and the Czech Republic, and are in collections of various galleries (including two large paintings in the Czech National Gallery, Prague), and a number of private collections. He is represented in commercial galleries in Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
Mr. Klusáček was born in 1953 in Frýdlant in northern Bohemia. He studied painting at the Academy of Decorative Arts in Prague with Prof. Frantisek Jiroudek. He lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic.
